The process of mastering is one of the most important and often overlooked steps in audio engineering. It's the final stage before an album or single is released to the public. This is where each song is level-balanced, frequencies receive finishing touches, small imperfections are removed, and any other problems with the mix are ironed out. Mastering is what takes a recorded and mixed song to a professional level for CD and radio play. I work closely with each artist to make sure they get the sound they want.

Each master comes with unlimited free revisions based on your feedback. 

My first round of masters almost always get approved, but if there’s anything that isn’t perfect, please let me know and I’ll make it right.

Once you receive the files, you will be able to make any changes if necessary.

I understand deadlines. And I respect your time! I'm not going to promise to get your project done by a specific date if I know I'm already fully booked.  I'm pretty quick, though. 

 

No additional fees for songs with overlength

It doesn't matter whether your song is 3 minutes long, 7 or even 10 - you pay the standard rate of €29 (and yes, I've mastered songs 10 minutes long).

In the mastering samples, covering a wide variety of musical styles, you can get a first impression of the quality of my online mastering. 

You will notice that the mastered samples (MASTER) have greater clarity and separation, an improved tonal balance and a commercial level of loudness.

I suggest listening with a good pair of headphones

Mastering is the step required to enhance a mixed track into a final master, ready released on the market. We examine the track, correct residual mix problems, maximize it, and set the required amount of loudness to make it compatible with commercial releases.

Common mixing mistakes I tackle during mastering

• Sub-Bass (anything below 100 Hz) covering up the kick drum and midrange  detail

• Either too little bass or too much bass due to use of small range speakers and mixing in a room that has not been properly treated to help tighten up impulse  response and attenuate room modes

• Edgy, fatiguing and harsh sound in the 2kHz - 6kHz area

• No Sparkle and Bottom

 

HOW MY MASTERING SERVICE WORKS

 

• Remove compression, equalization, limiting and any other plugin from your master bus

• Leave at least 6dBs of headroom. If necessary, pull down your master fader

• Export your mix as a .WAV or .AIF file, using the same sample and bit rate as the session you're exporting from

• Place your order and upload your file(s) on WeTransfer.com

• Within 7 business days (2 business days as Rush Service) you'll receive your mastered file
